Real-time sync
Changes in BetterContact or Hibob instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep BetterContact and Hibob in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
BetterContact is a read-only source: Stacksync reads its data in real time and delivers it into Hibob, so Hibob always reflects the current state of BetterContact — without exports, scripts, or schedulers.
Each tool in BetterContact keeps its own list of who can use it: users, members, or agents, along with the team they sit on and whether they are still active. Hibob is the authoritative record of the same people as employees, with their department, manager, and employment status. When those two are connected only by manual account admin or a periodic export, the work tools drift: new hires wait days for access, team and manager changes never catch up, and people who have left keep standing accounts.
Because the sync is field-level, each system keeps its own extras; only the shared facts, who a person is, which team they belong to, and whether their access should be on, are held in agreement.
A new hire recorded in Hibob creates the matching user in BetterContact with the right team and manager already set, so people can start working without waiting on a provisioning ticket.
When someone is marked as leaving in Hibob, the matching account in BetterContact is deactivated or flagged, so departures do not leave open access behind.
A person's name, title, contact details, or status corrected in either system updates the other, so both sides stop maintaining separate copies of the same person.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| BetterContact objects | Hibob objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enriched Contact Verified work emails and mobile numbers with job title, LinkedIn profile, location, and skills. | Documents Employee documents accessed under the Docs API; gated behind the Documents permission granted per service user. | Enriched Contact is specific to BetterContact and Documents to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Company Company data returned with each contact: name, domain, HQ location, industry, employee count. | Named lists Dropdown option lists such as departments and sites used to resolve field values when mapping People records during sync. | Company is specific to BetterContact and Named lists to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Lead Finder Search Prospect discovery by people and company filters, returning enriched lead profiles. | People (Employees) Core employee records with out-of-the-box and custom fields; read via POST /people/search, created and updated through the /people endpoints. | Lead Finder Search is specific to BetterContact and People (Employees) to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Enrichment Request Batch or single submissions of up to 100 contacts per request for waterfall enrichment. | Employment Historical table of job terms, contract, and working pattern under /people/{id}/employment; full CRUD, entries keyed by effectiveDate. | Enrichment Request is specific to BetterContact and Employment to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionBetterContact notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Job-based delivery — enrichment results arrive by webhook push or polling of the results endpoint.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Hibob through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionHibob notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks fire for employee created/updated/deleted, table-entry created/updated, time off, and lifecycle events.
DeliveryBetterContact does not accept inbound record writes, so this direction carries requests rather than records: BetterContact's output flows back as field updates on the originating Hibob records.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time integration between BetterContact and Hibob — BetterContact is a read-only source, so data flows from it into the other system: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync, map fields visually, and changes propagate in milliseconds — no code required.
Change detection on BetterContact: Job-based delivery — enrichment results arrive by webhook push or polling of the results endpoint; there is no persistent record store to watch. On Hibob: Webhooks fire for employee created/updated/deleted, table-entry created/updated, time off, and lifecycle events; the employee.updated payload flags which fields changed and Bob recommends an API call for the full record. There is no CDC stream, and deleting a table entry fires no webhook (Bob has no table-entry deletion event). Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the BetterContact side: Enriched Contact, Company, Lead Finder Search, Enrichment Request, plus custom fields where BetterContact exposes them. On the Hibob side: Documents, Named lists, People (Employees), Employment. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
BetterContact is a read-only source, so this integration runs one-way: Stacksync reads from BetterContact in real time and delivers into Hibob. Field mapping and monitoring work the same as for two-way pairs.
Common patterns for BetterContact and Hibob: Onboarding: access ready on day one; Offboarding: no standing access after a departure; One employee directory. A new hire recorded in Hibob creates the matching user in BetterContact with the right team and manager already set, so people can start working without waiting on a provisioning ticket.
BetterContact: Asynchronous REST API: submit contacts, then receive results via webhook or fetch them from a results endpoint. Authentication: API key. Hibob: REST API (the Bob API). Authentication: Service User credentials over HTTP Basic auth (Base64-encoded serviceUserId:serviceUserToken); permissions granted per data category (People, Payroll, Documents) in Bob admin. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
