Two-way sync
Changes in Agiloft or Smartsheet instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Agiloft and Smartsheet in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Contracts, Companies, People, Attachments in Agiloft with Cells, Reports, Attachments, Discussions and Comments in Smartsheet in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Information that originates in Agiloft stays current in Smartsheet instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Agiloft objects | Smartsheet objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attachments File records holding the executed contract PDFs and supporting documents linked to a contract; read to pull signed files out, or written to push generated documents in. | Attachments Files linked to rows or sheets; posting one carries a 10x rate cost, so bulk file sync is throttled to 30 per minute. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| People Parent table for individuals, split into Employees (internal users) and Contacts (external company contacts); synced to map signers, approvers, and account owners to CRM or HR records. | Rows Records inside a sheet, each with createdAt/modifiedAt and cells keyed by columnId; the primary unit synced to and from external tables. | People is specific to Agiloft and Rows to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Approvals Per-record approval instances generated from Approval Templates and Workflows; read to report approval status and cycle time, or written to trigger and record decisions. | Columns Define sheet schema and cell type (TEXT_NUMBER, DATE, CONTACT_LIST, PICKLIST, CHECKBOX); read via the API so field mappings can be generated. | Approvals is specific to Agiloft and Columns to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Tasks Assigned action items with owners, due dates, and states tied to contracts or projects; synced two-way to surface Agiloft work inside a PM or operations system. | Cells Row-by-column values; writes must match the column type and no single cell can exceed 4,000 characters. | Tasks is specific to Agiloft and Cells to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Clause Library Reusable, approved contract clauses with metadata and categories; read to feed clause content into other systems or reporting, or maintained from an external source of truth. | Reports Read-only roll-ups spanning multiple sheets; pulled into a warehouse for cross-sheet reporting, capped at 50,000 rows. | Clause Library is specific to Agiloft and Reports to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom tables Agiloft is a no-code platform, so any customer-built table (NDAs, SOWs, vendor risk, renewals) exposes the same REST and SOAP CRUD and syncs like the standard CLM tables. | Discussions and Comments Threaded comments on rows and sheets; read out to sync collaboration history or activity into another system. | Custom tables is specific to Agiloft and Discussions and Comments to Smartsheet — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionAgiloft notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Native webhook subscriptions (POST /ewws/webhooks) fire on record create, edit, or delete after a GET handshake verifies the callback URL.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Smartsheet through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionSmartsheet notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Sheet-scoped webhooks subscribed to *.* events notify on row and cell changes.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Agiloft and Smartsheet with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Agiloft and Smartsheet objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Agiloft and Smartsheet: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Agiloft's Attachments and People), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Common patterns for Agiloft and Smartsheet: Where one tool produces events: mirror them in the other; Where Smartsheet is where the team documents or plans: keep its data fed; Handoffs between teams. Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Agiloft: REST API (/ewws/rest/{kb}) and SOAP/EWS v2 web services (EWWSv2Service WSDL), plus a native Webhooks subscription API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 via OAuth2 Client Setup - Authorization Code with PKCE for user-delegated apps and Client Credentials for machine-to-machine; also JWT tokens or Basic Auth with a session token from POST /ewws/rest/{kb}/login. Smartsheet: REST API (v2.0). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow, or a raw/personal API access token passed as a Bearer header. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Agiloft: Agiloft is a no-code platform: the schema is customer-configurable, so custom tables and fields expose the same REST and SOAP CRUD as the standard CLM tables. Smartsheet: A sheet is capped at 500,000 cells (rows multiplied by columns), and no single cell can hold more than 4,000 characters. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Agiloft and Smartsheet without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Agiloft and Smartsheet records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Agiloft and Smartsheet connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Agiloft–Smartsheet integration in-house.
As a data company, we understand the importance of keeping your data secure. Stacksync is built with security best practices to keep your data safe at every layer, and is DPF-certified for US, EU, UK and CH data transfers.
