Two-way sync
Changes in Odoo or Zuora instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Odoo and Zuora in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
A dedicated finance tool and an ERP end up side by side for practical reasons: a subsidiary runs lighter software than headquarters, billing runs in a specialist system while the enterprise system holds the wider view, or the company is mid-migration and both are live. Whatever the split, the two systems describe overlapping customers and transactions, and that overlap drifts without a live connection.
Stacksync syncs Invoice, Payment, Usage, Order and Amendment in Zuora with Invoices (account.move), Products (product.template / product.product), CRM Leads (crm.lead), Purchase Orders (purchase.order) in Odoo in real time and in both directions. You decide which system wins on which field, and every change made in one is reflected in the other within seconds instead of at the next batch run.
Invoices and payment activity from the billing side post through to the enterprise system automatically.
When one system is replacing the other, run both in parallel with records matching until the switch is complete.
Where both systems keep records of the same organizations, corrections made in either propagate to the other.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Odoo objects | Zuora objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Contacts (res.partner) The unified person/company record used across sales, invoicing, and purchasing; the anchor for CRM syncs. | Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) The catalog of sellable products and their pricing; usually mastered elsewhere and written into Zuora, or read to map subscription charges. | Contacts (res.partner) is specific to Odoo and Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Sales Orders (sale.order) Quotations and confirmed orders synced with e-commerce and external CRMs. | Invoice Billing documents generated from rate plan charges and order line items; typically read out into an ERP or GL for revenue recognition and reconciliation. | Sales Orders (sale.order) is specific to Odoo and Invoice to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Invoices (account.move) Customer invoices and journal entries synced with accounting and reporting tools. | Payment Payment and refund transactions applied against invoices; read for cash application, dunning, and reconciliation reporting in the warehouse. | Invoices (account.move) is specific to Odoo and Payment to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Products (product.template / product.product) Catalog and variant data distributed to storefronts and quoting tools. | Usage Metered consumption records; written into Zuora from a metering or warehouse pipeline so consumption-based charges are rated and invoiced. | Products (product.template / product.product) is specific to Odoo and Usage to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| CRM Leads (crm.lead) Leads and opportunities synced with marketing and enrichment systems. | Order and Amendment Records of subscription create and change actions; written to Zuora to drive quote-to-cash and read for subscription change history. | CRM Leads (crm.lead) is specific to Odoo and Order and Amendment to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Purchase Orders (purchase.order) Procurement documents shared with supplier-facing systems. | Account (Billing Account) The customer billing entity holding contacts, payment methods, and billing settings; synced two-way as the parent record most other Zuora objects hang off. | Purchase Orders (purchase.order) is specific to Odoo and Account (Billing Account) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionOdoo notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Polling on the write_date timestamp every record carries.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Zuora through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Odoo and Zuora: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Odoo's Contacts (res.partner) and Sales Orders (sale.order)), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
On the Zuora side: Invoice, Payment, Usage, Order and Amendment, plus custom fields where Zuora exposes them. On the Odoo side: Invoices (account.move), Products (product.template / product.product), CRM Leads (crm.lead), Purchase Orders (purchase.order). Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
Common patterns for Odoo and Zuora: Where Zuora handles billing: invoices land in Odoo; Migration without a hard cutover; One customer and vendor master. Invoices and payment activity from the billing side post through to the enterprise system automatically.
Odoo: XML-RPC and JSON-RPC external API exposing the full ORM (search_read, create, write, unlink). Authentication: Database user credentials or per-user API keys. Zuora: REST API (v1) with Object Query, Data Query, and AQuA bulk export; legacy SOAP API also available. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client credentials (bearer token, 3600s expiry); access is governed by the Zuora role of the OAuth client's associated user, with no granular scopes. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Zuora: Concurrency limits apply per tenant: 40 concurrent requests by default, 80 for Object Queries, and 200 for high-volume operations, each doubled for Performance Booster; breaching them returns HTTP 429. Odoo: Custom fields added through Odoo Studio or modules (prefixed x_) are exposed through the same API automatically. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Odoo and Zuora without custom code.
