Two-way sync
Changes in Docusign or Zuora instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Docusign and Zuora in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Zuora holds the financial truth: who the customers are, what they were billed, what they paid. Docusign is where part of the day-to-day work happens, and that work often involves the same customers and transactions. Without a live connection, the two drift apart, and people end up answering questions from stale copies.
Stacksync keeps Order and Amendment, Account (Billing Account), Subscription, Rate Plan and Rate Plan Charge in Zuora and Templates, Tabs (form fields), Envelope Custom Fields, Folders in Docusign in sync, bi-directionally and in real time. Whatever records Docusign keeps and whatever events it produces, the overlap with Zuora is mapped field by field, and a change on either side shows up on the other within seconds.
There is no middleware to build, no API rate limits to babysit, and no nightly job that leaves the morning running on yesterday's data.
Payment and charge activity flows into Zuora as it happens, so the books reflect reality without manual reconciliation.
A customer's details updated in either system update the other, so finance and the rest of the business stop maintaining two versions of the same customer.
Front-line teams see invoice and payment status from Zuora next to the customer they are helping, without logging into the finance system.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Docusign objects | Zuora objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tabs (form fields) Signature, initial, date, text, and checkbox fields on a document; they carry the data a signer entered and are read out into databases. | Usage Metered consumption records; written into Zuora from a metering or warehouse pipeline so consumption-based charges are rated and invoiced. | Tabs (form fields) is specific to Docusign and Usage to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Envelope Custom Fields Text and list metadata used to tag envelopes for reporting; synced to a warehouse or CRM to key and categorize agreements. | Order and Amendment Records of subscription create and change actions; written to Zuora to drive quote-to-cash and read for subscription change history. | Envelope Custom Fields is specific to Docusign and Order and Amendment to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Folders Containers such as Inbox, Sent, and Draft plus custom folders; listed and moved to organize envelopes and drive reporting queries. | Account (Billing Account) The customer billing entity holding contacts, payment methods, and billing settings; synced two-way as the parent record most other Zuora objects hang off. | Folders is specific to Docusign and Account (Billing Account) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Users Account members and senders; the eSignature Users resource exposes them for attribution and reporting, while bulk org-wide user provisioning uses the separate Admin API. | Subscription Recurring or usage-based subscription tied to an Account; read for revenue state and written when provisioning or changing plans from a CRM or app. | Users is specific to Docusign and Subscription to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Envelopes The core container for a signature request — documents, recipients, routing, and status; read status and metadata two-way, and create/send new envelopes. | Rate Plan and Rate Plan Charge The priced components inside a Subscription; synced so charge amounts, quantities, and effective dates stay aligned with the source system. | Envelopes is specific to Docusign and Rate Plan and Rate Plan Charge to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Recipients Signers, carbon copies, and agents on an envelope, each with a routing order and status; read recipient progress, write recipient lists when an envelope is created. | Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) The catalog of sellable products and their pricing; usually mastered elsewhere and written into Zuora, or read to map subscription charges. | Recipients is specific to Docusign and Product and Product Rate Plan (Product Catalog) to Zuora — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionDocusign notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Docusign Connect webhooks push envelope and recipient status-change events in real time.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Zuora through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Docusign and Zuora: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Docusign's Tabs (form fields) and Envelope Custom Fields), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Docusign: ESignature REST API v2.1 (plus Docusign Connect webhooks; separate CLM, Rooms, and Admin APIs). Authentication: OAuth 2.0 — Authorization Code Grant for interactive apps, or JWT Grant (RSA key pair with user impersonation) for server-to-server integrations. Zuora: REST API (v1) with Object Query, Data Query, and AQuA bulk export; legacy SOAP API also available. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 client credentials (bearer token, 3600s expiry); access is governed by the Zuora role of the OAuth client's associated user, with no granular scopes. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Zuora: Callout Notifications (webhooks) time out after 25 seconds and truncate response bodies to 60KB before storing them. Docusign: The default rate limit is 3,000 requests per hour per account with a 500-call burst cap per 30 seconds, shared across every integration on the account. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Docusign and Zuora without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Docusign and Zuora records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Docusign and Zuora connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Docusign–Zuora integration in-house.
