Two-way sync
Changes in Bill or Hibob instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Bill and Hibob in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Bill runs the money side of the company: who gets paid, what it costs, and which part of the business the cost belongs to. Hibob runs the people side: who works here, which team they sit in, and how their employment changes over time. The two overlap on the same people and the same org structure, because every employee is also a payee and every department is also a cost center. When that overlap is maintained by hand, a new hire, a transfer, or a termination has to be keyed twice, and the two systems start to disagree about who is active and where the cost lands.
Stacksync syncs Vendors, Invoices, Customers, Payments in Bill with Named lists, People (Employees), Employment, Work in Hibob bi-directionally and in real time. A person added, updated, or deactivated on either side appears on the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most when money follows a people event. A hire that finance can pay, a leaver whose access ends, a transfer that redirects cost to the right team, all happen from one change instead of two, so headcount and spend reconcile from the same set of records.
When someone is added in Hibob, a matching employee or payee record appears in Bill, ready for payroll, expenses, or cost allocation without anyone rekeying the details.
A person's name, ID, or contact details corrected in either system update the other, so finance and HR reference the same person instead of maintaining two versions.
The org structure maintained in Hibob keeps the departments or cost centers in Bill current, so spend and headcount roll up the same way.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Bill objects | Hibob objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vendor Credits and Credit Memos AP and AR adjustments applied against bills and invoices; synced so balances stay accurate on both sides. | Named lists Dropdown option lists such as departments and sites used to resolve field values when mapping People records during sync. | Vendor Credits and Credit Memos is specific to Bill and Named lists to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Bills Accounts-payable amounts owed to vendors, with bill line items; read and created via /v3/bills and pulled incrementally by filtering on createdTime/updatedTime. | People (Employees) Core employee records with out-of-the-box and custom fields; read via POST /people/search, created and updated through the /people endpoints. | Bills is specific to Bill and People (Employees) to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Vendors Payee master records; synced two-way with vendor/supplier tables in an ERP or accounting system so new payees don't have to be re-keyed. | Employment Historical table of job terms, contract, and working pattern under /people/{id}/employment; full CRUD, entries keyed by effectiveDate. | Vendors is specific to Bill and Employment to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Invoices Accounts-receivable invoices sent to customers; created and read via /v3/invoices to keep billing status aligned with the ERP or CRM. | Work Reporting line, department, site, and title under /people/{id}/work; drives the org chart and is synced two-way to directories. | Invoices is specific to Bill and Work to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Customers AR customer master records; mapped to customer/account records in a CRM or ERP so finance and sales share one view. | Salaries Compensation history at /people/{id}/salaries; full CRUD but gated behind the Payroll permission on the service user. | Customers is specific to Bill and Salaries to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Payments Outgoing vendor payments and received customer payments; read for reconciliation and created to schedule bill pay. | Time off Absence requests and who's-out data via /timeoff/employees/{id}/requests and /timeoff/whosout; submit new requests and read balances. | Payments is specific to Bill and Time off to Hibob — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionBill notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhook event subscriptions (POST /v3/subscriptions) for bills, vendors, payments, invoices, and bank accounts, with polling on.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Hibob through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionHibob notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks fire for employee created/updated/deleted, table-entry created/updated, time off, and lifecycle events.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Bill through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Bill–Hibob connection.

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Bill and Hibob with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Bill and Hibob objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Bill and Hibob: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Bill's Vendor Credits and Credit Memos and Bills), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Bill and Hibob connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Bill–Hibob integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Bill and Hibob. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
Change detection on Bill: Webhook event subscriptions (POST /v3/subscriptions) for bills, vendors, payments, invoices, and bank accounts, with polling on createdTime/updatedTime list filters as the fallback. On Hibob: Webhooks fire for employee created/updated/deleted, table-entry created/updated, time off, and lifecycle events; the employee.updated payload flags which fields changed and Bob recommends an API call for the full record. There is no CDC stream, and deleting a table entry fires no webhook (Bob has no table-entry deletion event). Each detected change propagates to the other side in milliseconds, with field-level conflict resolution and an inspectable event log.
On the Bill side: Vendors, Invoices, Customers, Payments, plus custom fields where Bill exposes them. On the Hibob side: Named lists, People (Employees), Employment, Work. Stacksync auto-detects both schemas and converts types between the two systems.
Yes. Each object mapping can be bidirectional or restricted to a single direction (both systems accept writes). Read-only mirrors, one-way pushes, and full two-way sync can be mixed in the same integration.
