Why teams connect Auth0 and Infor WMS

Keep the employee, group, and account records that Infor WMS and Auth0 share aligned in real time, so a person added, moved, or offboarded in one system shows up correctly in the other within seconds.

An ERP and an identity system describe the same workforce from two angles. Infor WMS holds the authoritative record of who works at the company, and often their department, title, manager, and cost center. Auth0 controls the accounts, groups, and access those same people use every day. When the two aren't connected, every hire, transfer, and departure has to be keyed twice, and the window between someone leaving in Infor WMS and their account still being active in Auth0 is a real security exposure.

Stacksync syncs Inventory, Receipts / ASNs, Shipment Orders, Waves in Infor WMS with Resource Servers (APIs), Log Events, Users, Roles in Auth0 in real time, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly jobs. A new hire, a department change, or a termination propagates within seconds, and where you want changes to flow both ways — the ERP's org data into the directory, account status back into the ERP — the same mapping handles it.

That matters most at offboarding and audit time. When the directory reflects the ERP's current headcount and org structure, disabling access no longer depends on someone remembering to update a second system, and access reviews start from a roster both sides already agree on.

Common use cases

  • 01 Mirror ASN and receipt data into procurement so buyers see received quantities without logging into the WMS
  • 02 Consolidate task and labor data into a BI warehouse for productivity reporting
  • 03 Provision and deprovision Users and Organization Members from an HRIS or CRM — create accounts and assign Roles on hire, delete on offboarding.
  • 04 Replicate Roles and Resource Server scopes into a database to audit which Users hold which permissions across every Application.

Common sync patterns

Create accounts from new records

A person added in one system gets a matching account or record in the other automatically, so a new hire can be granted access without anyone re-keying their details.

Disable access at offboarding

When a person is marked terminated or inactive in one system, the matching account is disabled in the other within seconds, closing the gap that leaves ex-employees with live access.

Keep profile attributes current

A name, email, title, manager, or department corrected in either system updates the other, so directory entries and employee records don't drift apart.

What you can sync between Auth0 and Infor WMS

Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

Auth0 objects Infor WMS objects How this pairing syncs
Clients (Applications) Registered applications and their metadata under /api/v2/clients; mirrored to a database for app and credential inventories. Inventory On-hand quantities by location feed available-to-promise in order-taking systems. Clients (Applications) is specific to Auth0 and Inventory to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Resource Servers (APIs) API definitions and their scopes; synced so permission catalogs used for access reviews stay current. Receipts / ASNs Advance shipment notices and receipt confirmations sync with procurement systems. Resource Servers (APIs) is specific to Auth0 and Receipts / ASNs to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Log Events Tenant events (logins, signups, failed logins, admin changes) from /api/v2/logs; read-only, streamed into a warehouse for security analytics. Shipment Orders Outbound orders arrive from the ERP or OMS for allocation and picking. Log Events is specific to Auth0 and Shipment Orders to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Users Core identity records with profile fields plus user_metadata and app_metadata; synced two-way (create, update, delete) via /api/v2/users. Credentials are never returned. Waves Wave assignments group orders for fulfillment and can be reported outward. Users is specific to Auth0 and Waves to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Roles RBAC role definitions and their permissions; synced with a database to audit which users hold which access, and assigned to Users from either side. Tasks Warehouse task data supports labor and productivity reporting in BI tools. Roles is specific to Auth0 and Tasks to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Organizations B2B customer tenants under /api/v2/organizations; synced two-way with a CRM or customer database to keep account records aligned with Auth0 orgs. Locations Bin and zone definitions scope inventory records during mapping. Organizations is specific to Auth0 and Locations to Infor WMS — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.

How changes propagate between Auth0 and Infor WMS

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.

Auth0 Infor WMS Sub-second propagation

DetectionAuth0 notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Event Streams and Log Streams deliver near-real-time user.created/updated/deleted and tenant events to a custom webhook or Amazon EventBridge.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Infor WMS through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Infor WMS Auth0 Sub-second propagation

DetectionInfor WMS notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. ION event publishing or scheduled polling of API endpoints.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Auth0 through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Rate-limit considerations

  • Auth0: Per-tenant limit of about 15 Management API requests/second (bursts to 50) on paid tenants; X-RateLimit-* headers and HTTP 429 signal throttling.
  • Infor WMS: Subject to Infor ION API gateway throttling policies.
