Two-way sync
Changes in Asana or Campfire instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Asana and Campfire in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.
Stacksync syncs Projects, Sections, Custom fields, Stories in Asana with Intercompany Journal Entry, Chart of Accounts, Chart Transaction, Fixed Asset in Campfire in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.
Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.
Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.
Information that originates in Asana stays current in Campfire instead of going stale after a one-time paste.
When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Asana objects | Campfire objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tags Labels applied across Tasks; synced as a many-to-many attribute for filtering and categorization. | Bank Transaction Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Tags is specific to Asana and Bank Transaction to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Teams / Workspaces Organizational containers that hold projects and members; used to scope which projects a given sync covers. | Journal Entry Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Teams / Workspaces is specific to Asana and Journal Entry to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Tasks The primary unit of work and main record; created, updated, completed, and deleted via REST and synced two-way. Subtasks are Tasks with a parent reference. | Intercompany Journal Entry Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Tasks is specific to Asana and Intercompany Journal Entry to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Projects Collections of Tasks with a layout (list, board, timeline, calendar); each project maps to a synced table scope and its custom fields define the mapping. | Chart of Accounts Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Projects is specific to Asana and Chart of Accounts to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Sections Ordered groupings of Tasks within a project; synced as a grouping attribute or category field on the row. | Chart Transaction Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Sections is specific to Asana and Chart Transaction to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Custom fields Typed fields (text, number, enum, multi-enum, date, people) defined at project or workspace level; mapped to database columns, with enum values written by option GID. | Fixed Asset Synced with incremental and full sync per the Stacksync docs. | Custom fields is specific to Asana and Fixed Asset to Campfire — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionAsana notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Resource-scoped webhooks (established with an X-Hook-Secret handshake) POST events on create, change, and delete.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Campfire through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionCampfire pushes changes as they happen — webhook events backed by change data capture. Near real-time updates via change tracking (incremental sync).

Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Asana and Campfire with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Asana and Campfire objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Asana and Campfire: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Asana's Tags and Teams / Workspaces), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Asana: REST API (app.asana.com/api/1.0, JSON responses), plus resource-scoped Webhooks and a sync-token Events API. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 for multi-user apps, Personal Access Tokens (PATs) for single-account use and testing, and organization-scoped Service Accounts (Enterprise) for admin-level access. Campfire: HTTP endpoints for bot integrations on a self-hosted instance. Authentication: API key — create an API user with a Super User Role in Campfire (Settings -> API Keys), generate an API Key secret, and provide it in the Stacksync connection setup. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Asana: Rate limits are per token: 1,500 requests/minute on paid plans and 150 on free, with the Search API capped at 60/minute; hitting a limit returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header. Campfire: Fixed Asset Automation Match and Vendor Summary have no delete detection (objects cannot be deleted). Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Asana and Campfire without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Asana and Campfire records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Asana and Campfire connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Asana–Campfire integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Asana and Campfire. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
