Two-way sync
Changes in Anaplan or Recurly instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Keep Anaplan and Recurly in sync without custom scripts. Cut weeks of integration work, eliminate silent data drift, and give your team a single, reliable source of truth.
Two finance systems in one company usually means one of two setups. Either the systems divide the work, with one issuing invoices or serving a business unit while the other holds the books, or one is on its way out and both must stay accurate during the transition. In both cases, the customer, invoice, and payment records the two systems share start to drift the moment updates are keyed twice or moved by hand.
Stacksync syncs Models, Modules, Line Items, Lists in Anaplan with Invoices, Transactions, Line Items, Coupons and Redemptions in Recurly bi-directionally and in real time. A record created or corrected in either system appears in the other within seconds, with field-level mapping and conflict resolution in place of CSV exports and nightly batch jobs.
That matters most at close. When both systems agree on who was billed, what was paid, and what is outstanding, reconciliation stops being a hunt for which copy of the truth is current.
When one system is replacing the other, keep both live and matching through the cutover, so no transaction falls between the last export and go-live.
A customer's name, billing details, or payment terms corrected in either system update the other immediately, so the next invoice always uses current information.
Where each system serves a different entity or unit, sync the shared records so group-level reporting starts from consistent data.
Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.
| Anaplan objects | Recurly objects | How this pairing syncs | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Line Items The measures within a module, mapped to columns or metrics in syncs. | Line Items One-time charges and credits on an account outside a subscription; synced for accurate revenue and adjustment reporting. | Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. | |
| Modules Multidimensional grids of line items where plan data lives; the main read/write surface. | Accounts Customer/billing entity records keyed by account_code; the anchor most subscriptions and invoices hang off. Synced two-way with CRM accounts or a customer database. | Modules is specific to Anaplan and Accounts to Recurly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Lists Dimension members (accounts, products, cost centers) synced from master data systems. | Subscriptions Recurring subscription records tied to an Account and a Plan, with state, term, and next-bill date. Core object, synced two-way to drive provisioning and reporting. | Lists is specific to Anaplan and Subscriptions to Recurly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| List Items Individual dimension members created or updated from external systems of record. | Plans The product and pricing catalog (plan codes, intervals, add-ons); usually mastered in Recurly and read out, or mirrored from a product database. | List Items is specific to Anaplan and Plans to Recurly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Versions Scenario dimensions (actual, budget, forecast) that scope which slice a sync reads or writes. | Invoices Charge and credit billing documents; read-heavy for revenue reporting, and creatable through Purchases for one-off charges. | Versions is specific to Anaplan and Invoices to Recurly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. | |
| Import and Export Actions Predefined data-movement definitions the Bulk API executes. | Transactions Individual payment attempts — captures, refunds, and voids; typically read into a warehouse for reconciliation and dunning analysis. | Import and Export Actions is specific to Anaplan and Transactions to Recurly — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side. |
Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.
DetectionStacksync polls Anaplan for changes on an incremental schedule, reading only records changed since the previous pass. Polling and scheduled export actions.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Recurly through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
DetectionRecurly notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Webhooks (JSON or XML, one format per endpoint) for account, subscription, payment, and invoice events, plus incremental polling of list endpoints.
DeliveryEach detected change is written to Anaplan through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.
Real-time sync, workflow automation, event queues, EDI, and monitoring, for every Anaplan–Recurly connection.
Changes in Anaplan or Recurly instantly reflect in both systems. No stale data, no manual imports.
Trigger automated workflows whenever Anaplan or Recurly data changes, update records, fire webhooks, or kick off sequences without brittle API scripts.
Handle millions of events per minute without losing a single Anaplan or Recurly record.
Track your Anaplan ⇄ Recurly sync health, view errors, and replay failed events in one click.
Transform legacy EDI complexity into simple database interactions between Anaplan and Recurly.
Configure and sync within minutes, no code. Whether you sync 50k or 100M+ records, Stacksync handles the queues, infra, and plumbing. Integrations are non-invasive and need zero setup on your systems.
Authenticate Anaplan and Recurly with each platform's native method — OAuth, API keys, or service accounts — plus secure options like SSH tunneling, IP whitelisting, and VPC peering.
Pick the Anaplan and Recurly objects to sync — Stacksync auto-detects both schemas, including custom fields where the platform exposes them. Sync to existing tables, or let Stacksync create new ones with ideal data types.
Fields map automatically even when names and types differ. Stacksync handles transformation and type casting for you, zero configuration required.
Yes. Stacksync provides a managed, real-time two-way integration between Anaplan and Recurly: authenticate both systems, choose the objects to sync (such as Anaplan's Line Items and Modules), map fields visually, and changes propagate both ways in milliseconds — no code required.
Anaplan: REST APIs: a Bulk API that runs predefined import/export actions and a transactional API for model metadata and cell data. Authentication: Token-based sessions obtained via basic authentication, CA certificates, or OAuth 2.0 through Anaplan's authentication service. Recurly: REST API (V3, date-versioned; legacy V2 XML API also exists). Authentication: API key via HTTP Basic auth (key as username, blank password); keys are per-site, with separate sandbox and production keys. Stacksync manages authentication, retries, and rate limits on both sides.
Anaplan: Data movement at volume goes through predefined import and export actions executed by the Bulk API, so integrations depend on actions defined inside the model. Recurly: The V3 API is date-versioned — clients pin a version such as v2021-02-25 via the Accept header (application/vnd.recurly.v2021-02-25), and an unsupported version returns HTTP 406. Stacksync's field mapping accounts for these differences between Anaplan and Recurly without custom code.
Stacksync is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified with HIPAA BAA support. Data is encrypted in transit, and a zero-persistent-storage architecture means Anaplan and Recurly records are not retained after a sync operation.
Stacksync pricing is usage-based and starts at $1,000/month, including the managed Anaplan and Recurly connectors, real-time two-way sync, monitoring, and support. That replaces building and maintaining a custom Anaplan–Recurly integration in-house.
Yes — Stacksync ships production-grade connectors for both Anaplan and Recurly. The connectors handle authentication, schema detection, rate limits, and retries; you configure the sync, and Stacksync operates it.
