Why teams connect Agiloft and ConnectWise

Stop re-entering the same information in Agiloft and ConnectWise: Stacksync keeps the records they share consistent in real time, in both directions.

Two tools in the daily stack often hold overlapping information: the same people, the same companies, or the same pieces of work, described twice. The tools do different jobs, so consolidating is not the answer; the overlap just needs to stop drifting.

Stacksync syncs People, Attachments, Approvals, Tasks in Agiloft with Activities, Companies, Contacts, Service Tickets in ConnectWise in real time. You choose which records overlap, map the fields that should match, and pick a direction or let changes flow both ways. From then on, an update made in either tool is reflected in the other within seconds, without exports or copy-paste.

Because the sync is field-level, each tool keeps its own extras; only the shared data is held in agreement.

Common use cases

  • 01 Push generated documents and executed PDFs into Agiloft Attachments from a document system, or pull signed contracts out for archival.
  • 02 Stream Approvals and Tasks into an operational database for cycle-time, bottleneck, and SLA reporting across the contract lifecycle.
  • 03 Push closed-won opportunities from the CRM into ConnectWise to kick off agreements and onboarding projects.
  • 04 Reconcile ConnectWise invoices and agreements against the accounting system to catch billing gaps.

Common sync patterns

Where one tool produces events: mirror them in the other

Payments, replies, messages, or tickets created in one tool can create or update matching records in the other, keeping context in one place.

Where ConnectWise is where the team documents or plans: keep its data fed

Information that originates in Agiloft stays current in ConnectWise instead of going stale after a one-time paste.

Handoffs between teams

When work started in one tool continues in the other, the shared fields travel with it automatically.

What you can sync between Agiloft and ConnectWise

Representative objects on each side — any object or custom field can map to any target. Schemas are auto-detected; types are converted between the two systems.

Agiloft objects ConnectWise objects How this pairing syncs
Companies Records for every organization - counterparties, vendors, customers - linked to contracts and people; read and written to keep account master data aligned with a CRM or ERP. Companies Client and prospect account records that anchor most other PSA data in a sync. Same entity on both sides — records pair one-to-one and field-level changes reconcile in both directions. Custom fields on either side are included in the mapping.
People Parent table for individuals, split into Employees (internal users) and Contacts (external company contacts); synced to map signers, approvers, and account owners to CRM or HR records. Projects Project and phase records synced for delivery tracking outside the PSA. People is specific to Agiloft and Projects to ConnectWise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Attachments File records holding the executed contract PDFs and supporting documents linked to a contract; read to pull signed files out, or written to push generated documents in. Time Entries Logged technician time, often exported for payroll and invoicing checks. Attachments is specific to Agiloft and Time Entries to ConnectWise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Approvals Per-record approval instances generated from Approval Templates and Workflows; read to report approval status and cycle time, or written to trigger and record decisions. Invoices Billing records reconciled against accounting systems. Approvals is specific to Agiloft and Invoices to ConnectWise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Tasks Assigned action items with owners, due dates, and states tied to contracts or projects; synced two-way to surface Agiloft work inside a PM or operations system. Configurations Managed devices and assets tied to companies, useful for asset inventory syncs. Tasks is specific to Agiloft and Configurations to ConnectWise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.
Clause Library Reusable, approved contract clauses with metadata and categories; read to feed clause content into other systems or reporting, or maintained from an external source of truth. Members Internal users and technicians referenced by tickets and time entries. Clause Library is specific to Agiloft and Members to ConnectWise — each maps to any object or custom field on the other side.

How changes propagate between Agiloft and ConnectWise

Each direction of the sync is driven by what the source system can signal and what the destination accepts — detection, delivery, and expected latency below.

Agiloft ConnectWise Sub-second propagation

DetectionAgiloft notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Native webhook subscriptions (POST /ewws/webhooks) fire on record create, edit, or delete after a GET handshake verifies the callback URL.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to ConnectWise through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

ConnectWise Agiloft Sub-second propagation

DetectionConnectWise notifies Stacksync of record changes through webhook events. Callbacks (webhooks) on record changes, supplemented by polling on last-updated fields.

DeliveryEach detected change is written to Agiloft through its API, with automatic retries and rate-limit backoff.

Rate-limit considerations

  • Agiloft: Agiloft publishes no fixed per-minute REST quota; throughput is instance-specific and bounded by license seats (Assigned/Floating Power User) and concurrent API sessions. Each SOAP/EWS call runs in its own transaction, and REST logins issue a session token meant to be reused rather than re-authenticated per call.
  • ConnectWise: Subject to the platform's API rate limits per company and integration.
