FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which ERPs does Stacksync support?

Stacksync syncs natively with NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain, Workday, Oracle ERP Cloud, Sage Intacct, Infor, Acumatica, Odoo, and Xero. Each connector handles standard records (sales orders, invoices, items, customers) plus custom records, custom segments, and saved searches. New ERPs are added on request; typical lead time is 3 to 6 weeks for production-grade certification.

Can Stacksync handle NetSuite and SAP custom records and segments?

Yes — custom records, custom segments, custom fields, formula fields, and SuiteScript-derived data are first-class citizens. Stacksync introspects your NetSuite or SAP schema on connect, surfaces all custom objects in the mapping UI, and replays changes to those objects through change-data-capture or polling. For NetSuite specifically, Stacksync uses both SuiteAnalytics and the Async REST API depending on volume; SAP uses CDS views or OData services depending on edition.

How does Stacksync stay inside ERP API rate limits at scale?

Stacksync uses adaptive concurrency control: each connection learns the live API budget for your ERP tenant and stays under it automatically, throttling background work first and prioritizing real-time syncs. For NetSuite, this means sub-1% rate-limit error rates even during full-volume backfills. For SAP, Stacksync respects per-user and per-app quotas. When you approach limits, the dashboard surfaces a warning before sync degrades — and our team monitors at the customer level for enterprise accounts.

Does Stacksync support real-time ERP sync or only batch?

Real-time wherever the ERP exposes change events. NetSuite SuiteAnalytics, SAP CDS views with delta capture, Dynamics change tracking, and Workday RaaS event subscriptions all stream changes within seconds. For older ERP versions without native change capture, Stacksync polls on a configurable interval (every 30 seconds to 5 minutes) and only syncs changed records. Real-time and batch sync configurations can coexist on the same connection — for example, real-time for sales orders, daily batch for GL entries.

Can we sync ERP financial data into a data warehouse?

Yes — ERP-to-warehouse is the most common Stacksync deployment for finance teams. Sync GL entries, AR/AP, journals, items, and customer records from NetSuite or SAP into Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Postgres in near-real-time. Schemas auto-evolve when ERP fields change. Period-end close data, accruals, and revenue recognition entries land in the warehouse within seconds of being posted, so finance dashboards and downstream BI tools never lag the ERP.

How do you handle ERP downtime and retries?

Every sync event is durably queued. If the ERP is down for maintenance or hits a transient error, Stacksync retries with exponential backoff for up to 7 days, then routes the event to a dead-letter queue for manual review. Replay is a one-click operation. For planned ERP windows, you can pause the connection from the dashboard; queued changes are buffered and replayed in order on resume. No data is lost.

What about ERP-to-ERP migrations?

Stacksync runs ERP-to-ERP migrations end to end: source-schema extraction, mapping to the target ERP, historical backfill, parallel-run verification, and cutover. Common migration paths include NetSuite to SAP S/4HANA, QuickBooks to Sage Intacct, on-prem Dynamics to Dynamics 365, and Odoo to NetSuite. Migration timelines run 4 to 12 weeks depending on customization depth; our professional services team can lead the migration or partner with your SI.
