Retailers running dropship programs on Dsco mandate the channel; whether a supplier trades the 4010 or 5010 release is agreed during setup.

  1. Create a Rithum (Dsco) supplier account and work through the Setup Guide: company details, users, contacts, and warehouse locations.
  2. Choose connectivity per data flow. Every Dsco account includes a dedicated SFTP/FTP mailbox; AS2 is available on request via Rithum support; rich product content requires flat-file exchange (CSV, TAB, or Excel).
  3. Map the 5010 releases of 846, 850, 855, 856, 810, and 870 to Dsco's specification; sender and receiver IDs are configurable in the automation setup.
  4. Run tests against inventory, order, shipment, and invoice data for each retail trading partner inside the Setup Guide.
  5. Complete certification to reach Network Certified status and pay the setup fee before production activation.

Testing: The Rithum Setup Guide requires suppliers to create and run tests against inventory, order, shipment, invoice, and returns data for each trading partner, with requirements set by the retailer. Certification (Network Certified status) and setup-fee payment gate production. Dsco generates 997 acknowledgments for processed transactions; returning them is recommended but not required.

Timeline: Self-service onboarding through the Setup Guide with no published certification SLA; duration depends on the supplier's mapping work and per-retailer test completion. Suppliers with existing X12 maps mainly spend time on the version-specific field mapping and test runs.
