How do you prevent two systems double-booking a door?

The yard calendar is the single source of truth and every booking writes back to it in real time with field-level conflict policy, so a slot held in one system is instantly closed in the others.

How fast does a portal confirmation reach the yard?

Sub-second when the portal supports webhooks, otherwise 1–60s on a poll. Carriers and the yard work off the same live schedule, not a cached copy.

Do reschedules sync both directions?

Yes. A change in the TMS, the portal, or yard management propagates to the other two in real time, so the appointment never diverges across systems.
