Smart-meter to billing
from read to invoice

Stacksync streams interval consumption from your AMI head-end into SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Fusion ERP, or the billing engine within seconds, two-way, and pushes rate plan and account changes back to the meter data system.

Where meter-to-cash breaks in production

Three reasons reads and bills fall out of step.

Interval data moves from the meter through the head-end, the MDM, and the billing engine, and each hop adds lag and a chance to drop a read. Here is where revenue leaks.

01 - Nightly extract

Reads reach billing a day late

Most AMI pipelines batch interval data to SAP S/4HANA overnight. Customer service answers usage questions off yesterday's numbers and disputes pile up before billing even has the read.

LATENCY
02 - Estimated reads

Gaps get filled with guesses

When a read is missing the billing engine estimates, then a true-up reverses it next cycle. Estimates anger customers and force manual rebills that the call center eats.

DATA QUALITY
03 - Replayed intervals

One retry, two charges

A retried head-end push or a replayed file can post the same interval twice. Without idempotency the account is overcharged and finance closes the month chasing the adjustment.

Connectors

Every system a read touches, on one sync.

Stacksync ships pre-built two-way connectors for the AMI head-ends, MDM, ERP billing, and analytics that meter-to-cash runs through, with idempotent writes and replay.

Secure connection options

Securely connects to your systems with:

How fast does a meter read reach billing?

Within seconds when the AMI head-end pushes events; otherwise 1-60s on a configurable poll. Interval data lands in SAP S/4HANA or your billing engine well before the next cycle, not on a nightly extract.

How do you stop the same interval from being billed twice?

Every write is idempotent, keyed on meter ID plus interval timestamp. A retried head-end push or replayed file updates the existing read instead of posting a duplicate charge.

Can you cut down on estimated reads?

Yes. Because reads stream in near real time, the billing engine has actual intervals before it would otherwise estimate, so true-ups and rebills drop sharply.

Does account and rate data flow back to the meter system?

Yes. Rate plan, move-in/move-out, and account changes sync from the ERP back to the MDM and head-end two-way, so both sides stay aligned.
