Renewables PPA settlement
from inverter to invoice

Stacksync streams generation from inverters and OSIsoft PI, reconciles it against PPA terms in SAP S/4HANA or NetSuite, and issues counterparty invoices automatically, two-way, with idempotent writes and replay.

Where PPA settlement breaks in production

Three reasons generation and revenue don't reconcile.

Settling a PPA means matching metered output to contract terms, prices, and curtailment rules across plant, ERP, and counterparty systems. Here is where the match fails.

01 - Spreadsheet settlement

Every cycle is rebuilt by hand

Analysts pull inverter output, paste it next to PPA terms in Excel, and compute settlement manually. One transcription error and the counterparty invoice is wrong before it ships.

RELIABILITY
02 - Contract logic drift

Each PPA prices differently

Floors, ceilings, escalators, and curtailment compensation differ per contract in SAP S/4HANA. Hand-coded math falls out of sync the moment a term is amended.

SCHEMA
03 - Double-counted output

One replay, two settlements

A re-sent generation file or a retried sync can settle the same interval twice. Without idempotency the counterparty is overpaid and finance unwinds it the next cycle.

How is generation reconciled against contract terms?

Inverter and OSIsoft PI output streams in, then Stacksync applies each PPA's pricing, floors, ceilings, and curtailment rules from SAP S/4HANA to compute settlement, with the math living in config, not a spreadsheet.

What happens when a PPA term changes?

You amend the term in one place and the settlement logic follows. Because pricing rules are declarative, an amendment is a config update rather than re-coding the calculation.

How do you prevent settling the same output twice?

Writes are idempotent, keyed on asset plus interval. A re-sent generation file or retried sync updates the existing settlement instead of paying the counterparty twice.

Are counterparty invoices issued automatically?

Yes. Once an interval settles, Stacksync writes the invoice into NetSuite or SAP S/4HANA two-way, so the counterparty is billed without an analyst rebuilding the cycle.
