Grid-edge orchestration
across every connected asset

Stacksync Genie agents read forecasts and grid signals, then dispatch DERs, batteries, and demand response across aggregators and partners in real time, writing setpoints and confirmations back to OSIsoft PI and SAP S/4HANA two-way.

Where DER coordination breaks at the edge

Three reasons distributed assets pull in different directions.

A modern grid balances thousands of batteries, inverters, and flexible loads owned by different parties, and each speaks its own protocol on its own clock. Here is where coordination fails.

01 - Slow dispatch

Setpoints arrive after the peak passes

Batch dispatch sends a curtailment signal minutes after the demand spike. The DERs respond to a condition that is already over and the grid eats the imbalance charge.

LATENCY
02 - Judgement gap

Rules can't weigh every constraint

Static rules can't balance price, state-of-charge, weather, and partner contracts at once. A Genie agent reasons over OSIsoft PI telemetry and contract terms to pick which assets to call and how hard.

ORCHESTRATION
03 - Partner sprawl

Every aggregator has its own API

Each DER aggregator and partner exposes a different interface and asset ID scheme. Mapping dispatch and settlement across them by hand breaks every time a partner changes a field.

Connectors

Every asset and partner the grid edge spans, on one sync.

Stacksync ships pre-built two-way connectors for the DER platforms, historians, ERP, and partner systems that grid-edge orchestration runs through, with conflict policies, idempotency, and replay.

How does a Genie agent decide which assets to dispatch?

It reads forecasts, prices, state-of-charge, and contract terms from OSIsoft PI and SAP S/4HANA, then selects assets and setpoints. Every decision is logged and you can keep a human in the loop for high-impact calls.

How fast do setpoints reach the DERs?

Sub-second to a few seconds, depending on the aggregator API. Dispatch goes out while the grid condition is live, not minutes after the peak has passed.

How do you handle every aggregator using different IDs?

Stacksync maps each partner's asset ID scheme and API to one model in the visual mapper, so dispatch and settlement stay consistent even when a partner changes a field.

What if a confirmation is missed or duplicated?

Writes are idempotent and every event is replayable. A retried dispatch updates the existing command instead of double-firing, and missed confirmations replay in order once the partner is reachable.
