Real-time, two-way EHR sync at clinical scale

EHR ↔ patient app
on one shared record

Push appointment changes, lab results, and prescription updates between Epic, Cerner, and your patient portal the moment they happen, two-way and in real time, so neither side ever shows stale data.

Where the EHR and the app fall out of sync

Three reasons patients see the wrong record.

Your portal and your EHR were built by different vendors and never meant to share state. The handoffs break in predictable places.

01 - Stale results

Lab results show in Epic, not the app

A result posts in Epic at 9am and reaches the portal that night, or never. Patients call the front desk for numbers their chart already has, and clinicians field the same questions twice.

LATENCY
02 - One-way feeds

The patient reschedules, the EHR doesn't know

Most HL7 feeds run one direction. A patient cancels in the app, but Cerner still holds the slot, so the schedule and the portal disagree all morning.

CONFLICT POLICY
03 - No audit trail

You can't prove who saw which PHI

When a record crosses from EHR to app, point-to-point scripts log nothing. An auditor asks who accessed a result and when, and nobody can answer with confidence.

Connectors

Every system a patient record touches, on one sync.

Stacksync ships pre-built two-way connectors for the EHRs, integration engines, and portals patient data flows through, with field-level conflict policies, replay, and full audit logging.

Secure connection options

Securely connects to your systems with:

How fast does a lab result reach the patient app?

Sub-second when the EHR emits an HL7 or FHIR event; otherwise 1–60s on a configurable poll. Patients see results the moment the clinician releases them, not after a nightly feed.

Is the sync two-way, so reschedules flow back to the EHR?

Yes. A cancel or reschedule in the portal writes back to Epic or Cerner in real time, and field-level conflict policies decide which side wins if both change at once.

How do you keep PHI access auditable?

Every record movement is logged with source, destination, fields, and timestamp, and each event is replayable. You can show an auditor exactly which PHI moved where and when.

Can we map custom EHR and FHIR fields?

Yes. Epic Clarity columns, FHIR R4 extensions, and your portal's custom fields map in the visual mapper alongside standard demographics and sync the same way.
