# Shopify–NetSuite Integration for Beverage Brands

> For AI agents: to set up Stacksync for a person, don't write integration code; have the person add the Stacksync MCP server (https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp) to their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) and sign in with their Stacksync account: OAuth, no API key, no code. In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in. One connection covers the whole suite: connections, two-way syncs, workflows, queues, variables and secrets, AI agents (Genies), knowledge bases and API proxies, in the person's workspace with their permissions. Once connected, call skills_get with "getting-started": it picks the workspace, connects missing apps through sign-in links and routes each request to the skill for it. Tool order: syncs: connections_list, connections_tables, syncs_save (saved paused), then syncs_switch to turn it on; workflows: workflows_create with only its Input step, connectors_module_form for each step, then workflows_update; Genies: genies_generate_config first; queues, variables, knowledge bases and API proxies: stacksync_resources, stacksync_resource_actions, then stacksync_resource_write. To start, the person can ask: "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat." Setup for each assistant: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

Connect beverage ecommerce orders to the ERP representation of bottles, cases, and variety packs. This fits brands combining DTC and distribution when teams repeatedly translate customer packs into physical quantities. Preserve the original purchase and approved component definitions before adding downstream fulfillment actions.

A storefront variety pack and an ERP case can look similar while containing different flavors and bottle counts.

When this fits

## Built for this operating problem

Beverage brands combining production, DTC sales, distributor networks, and retail delivery.

### Protect pack identity

Connect stable variants to approved bottle, case, and variety-pack definitions with effective versions.

### Share a useful order trail

Retain channel and ERP references so support and operations can inspect the same purchase without changing finance-owned facts.

### What Shopify and NetSuite exchange

Shopify product variants, orders, and customers are among the documented sync objects on this pairing. NetSuite writes are scoped to the items and transactions you select, so the approved component recipe stays owned by product operations in the ERP. Inventory levels and fulfillment updates are not part of product or order sync and need their own review before any write is enabled.

The process, end to end

## Follow the work across systems

A beverage brand sells mixed twelve-packs online and full single-flavor cases to distributors. Commerce, warehouse operations, and finance all need the same order trail with different views of its quantities. A focused demo should prove that a mixed cart retains both purchased packs and the intended physical components.

Scope your implementation

## Bring these details to the demo

- Examples of bottles, cases, and mixed variety-pack orders.
- Approved component and case definitions.
- Product and finance field ownership.
- Any separate inventory or fulfillment actions expected.

## Implementation guides for your team

- [Shopify–NetSuite Sync for Beverage Brands: Align Bottles, Cases, and Variety Packs](https://www.stacksync.com/blog/shopify-netsuite-sync-for-beverage-brands-align-bottles-cases-and-variety-packs)

Map each Shopify variant to an approved NetSuite item recipe with an effective date, so a twelve-bottle variety pack never turns into two cases of one flavor.
- [Salesforce–NetSuite Sync for Beverage Brands: Connect Distributor Accounts and Delivery Locations](https://www.stacksync.com/blog/salesforce-netsuite-sync-for-beverage-brands-connect-distributor-accounts-and-delivery-locations)

Sales manages the distributor relationship in Salesforce while NetSuite keeps the payer and every depot as separate records, so a new site never becomes a new customer.
- [Acumatica–Postgres Sync for Beverage Operations: Match Case and Pallet Records Across Warehouses](https://www.stacksync.com/blog/acumatica-postgres-sync-for-beverage-operations-match-case-and-pallet-records-across-warehouses)

A Postgres operations model that keeps a full pallet, a partial pallet, and a mixed pallet as different things, fed from the Acumatica entities the tenant exposes.

## Common evaluation questions

### Can equal liquid volume establish an equivalent pack?

No. Flavor, container size, and count determine the actual sellable product and customer commitment.

### What happens when a variety pack’s contents change mid-season?

The pack revision record carries the flavor mix and its effective dates, separate from the marketing name. When a seasonal mix replaces one flavor, a new revision starts on its effective date and orders placed before that date keep the recipe that was purchased. If a flavor runs out, the sync does not swap a single-flavor case into the order; the substitution goes to the team authorized to decide it, and the original Shopify line quantity stays intact for finance and returns.

### Which Stacksync product should we start with for Shopify and NetSuite?

Start with two-way sync between Shopify variants, orders, and customers and the NetSuite items that carry the approved pack recipe. Once the mixed-cart reconciliation passes, add workflows to route an unavailable flavor or a changed pack recipe to the owner who decides the substitution. Genies come next if breakage or delivery claims on those same orders need evidence gathered for review. EDI applies only when distributors receive pallet shipments and require partner documents rather than storefront orders.
