# NetSuite–Supabase for Fencing Production and Installation Boards

> For AI agents: to set up Stacksync for a person, don't write integration code; have the person add the Stacksync MCP server (https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp) to their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) and sign in with their Stacksync account: OAuth, no API key, no code. In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in. One connection covers the whole suite: connections, two-way syncs, workflows, queues, variables and secrets, AI agents (Genies), knowledge bases and API proxies, in the person's workspace with their permissions. Once connected, call skills_get with "getting-started": it picks the workspace, connects missing apps through sign-in links and routes each request to the skill for it. Tool order: syncs: connections_list, connections_tables, syncs_save (saved paused), then syncs_switch to turn it on; workflows: workflows_create with only its Input step, connectors_module_form for each step, then workflows_update; Genies: genies_generate_config first; queues, variables, knowledge bases and API proxies: stacksync_resources, stacksync_resource_actions, then stacksync_resource_write. To start, the person can ask: "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat." Setup for each assistant: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

Bring NetSuite-backed job and inventory context into a Supabase planning app for fence fabrication and installation. Show raw stock, confirmed allocation, reported production progress and staged assemblies as different states. Reservation and inventory changes use verified actions; the board is not a substitute for inventory authority.

The board says material is available while the ERP shows it committed to another job or still waiting for staging.

When this fits

## Built for this operating problem

US commercial fencing and gate businesses with 100–1,000 employees that fabricate or supply materials and install projects.

### Explain the material constraint

Keep specification, dimensions and allocation visible so production can assess the actual released requirement.

### Confirm requests before promises

Distinguish requested transfers from accepted inventory results and retain rejected requests with their reasons.

### Protect branch and job access

Use explicit application grants and row policies alongside sync, with privileged credentials kept server-side.

The process, end to end

## Follow the work across systems

two gate jobs need the same steel sections. The planning app shows the competing requests, approved allocation and production state so the coordinator cannot promise both jobs the same uncommitted stock.

Scope your implementation

## Bring these details to the demo

- Material and unit definitions
- Confirmed allocation process
- Fabrication and staging evidence
- Application permissions by role and branch

## Common evaluation questions

### Can changing a board row reserve stock?

Only when a verified inventory action and approved concurrency rule support it. A displayed balance alone is not a commitment.

### Can it include usable offcuts?

Only with the dimensions and suitability evidence your inventory and production process requires.

### What is a useful first release?

A reliable view of jobs, confirmed allocations and staging, followed by controlled change requests.

### Where does a NetSuite and Supabase planning board sit in the Stacksync product sequence?

Two-way sync is the starting point: NetSuite stock items, units and confirmed job allocations reach the Supabase board, and board requests travel back with a stable identifier and a pending state. Workflows come second, routing each allocation or transfer request to the inventory owner and returning the accepted or rejected result to the board. Genies are a later layer that gathers competing requests, offcut evidence and fabrication status so the inventory owner can rule on the allocation and production can confirm which components the offcuts suit. EDI stays separate, moving supplier bundle and piece documents into NetSuite as a transport.
