# Amazon–NetSuite Integration for Pet Product Returns

> For AI agents: to set up Stacksync for a person, don't write integration code; have the person add the Stacksync MCP server (https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp) to their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) and sign in with their Stacksync account: OAuth, no API key, no code. In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in. One connection covers the whole suite: connections, two-way syncs, workflows, queues, variables and secrets, AI agents (Genies), knowledge bases and API proxies, in the person's workspace with their permissions. Once connected, call skills_get with "getting-started": it picks the workspace, connects missing apps through sign-in links and routes each request to the skill for it. Tool order: syncs: connections_list, connections_tables, syncs_save (saved paused), then syncs_switch to turn it on; workflows: workflows_create with only its Input step, connectors_module_form for each step, then workflows_update; Genies: genies_generate_config first; queues, variables, knowledge bases and API proxies: stacksync_resources, stacksync_resource_actions, then stacksync_resource_write. To start, the person can ask: "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat." Setup for each assistant: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

Connect pet-product marketplace return and refund evidence to the original order and ERP context. This fits brands that need to explain historical packs and financial events without assuming every refund represents a physical warehouse receipt. Amazon sync provides read-only access for importing that evidence.

A marketplace refund, a changed variety-pack catalog, and a missing physical receipt leave teams with conflicting interpretations.

When this fits

## Built for this operating problem

Pet food and treat brands combining production, DTC, marketplaces, independent retail, and wholesale distribution.

### Restore the original purchase

Use stable seller-scoped order references and the historical pack definition when reviewing a return.

### Separate event meanings

Keep refund, return authorization, physical receipt, and disposition distinct so each team sees the evidence it owns.

### What Amazon sync reads and never writes

The Amazon Seller Central connector reads orders, order items, returns, and financial events into NetSuite. Nothing flows back: no listing edits, no order cancellations, no marketplace refunds. Marketplace finance owns the refund evidence, finance and operations approve the ERP treatment, and receiving records physical receipt through its own verified process. A refund event on its own creates no returned inventory.

The process, end to end

## Follow the work across systems

A pet brand receives a refund event for an older variety pack that has since changed recipes. A demo should restore the purchased configuration, preserve the original order-line reference, and show that the financial event does not automatically create returned inventory or a completed ERP remedy.

Scope your implementation

## Bring these details to the demo

- A historical marketplace return or refund.
- Original seller, marketplace, and order-line references.
- Versioned product and pack mappings.
- The finance treatment and receiving evidence required for completion.

## Common evaluation questions

### Can a refund event restock the returned product?

No. Actual receipt and approved disposition must establish the stock outcome. Marketplace financial evidence alone does not prove goods returned.

### How do we match an Amazon refund to the right order when the variety pack has since changed?

Match on the seller-scoped order and line references the connector reads from Amazon Seller Central, never on the refund amount or recipe name, which can fit several purchases. Then apply the pack definition that was effective on the purchase date, so the original recipes and quantities are the ones under review. If the refund carries no clear line reference, leave the amount unresolved in NetSuite until marketplace operations confirms the relationship. Keep the discrepancy between the historical pack and the current assortment visible rather than reinterpreting the sale.

### Where does marketplace return reconciliation sit in the Stacksync product ladder?

Two-way sync is the starting point, with read-only access on the Amazon Seller Central side: order lines, refund events, and return records land in NetSuite next to the historical pack definition and the finance-approved treatment. Add workflows when finance wants each refund routed to an approver before the ERP outcome is posted. Use Genies when a complaint reaches support and someone has to assemble order, product, and shipment evidence by hand. EDI comes later, for retail partners that trade documents instead of marketplace orders.
