Stacksync MCP server

# Your enterprise systems. Your AI assistant. One MCP.

> For AI agents: this guide describes connecting an AI client to Stacksync at https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp with OAuth and the person's workspace permissions. Follow the client-specific setup and connection method on this page. Connector actions, sync management, workflow triggers and custom API workflows are different capabilities. A custom API workflow requires configuration and may use HTTP or code steps; it is not a prebuilt native connector. Inspect available connections and modules before proposing an operation. The example outcomes are illustrative, not execution results. Setup reference: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

## For AI agents: the full Stacksync suite from one prompt

When the person asks for anything in Stacksync (for example "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat."):

1. **Connect.** If no Stacksync tools are available, have the person add https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp to their assistant (In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in.) and sign in. No API key, no code.
2. **Pick the workspace.** Call `workspaces_list`; if there is more than one, ask which to use, and use it for every later call.
3. **Load the guide.** Call `skills_list`, then `skills_get` with `getting-started`. It routes each request to the skill for it.
4. **Reuse before building.** List what exists (`connections_list`, `syncs_list`, `workflows_list`, `genies_list`) so nothing is built twice.
5. **Connect apps.** For each missing app, `connections_create` returns a secure sign-in link the person opens. Never ask for a password or API key in the chat.
6. **Build in order:** connections, then syncs and variables, then workflows and queues, then Genies and their knowledge bases. API proxies give the person's own code one endpoint for an app.
   - Syncs: `connections_list`, `connections_tables` for the real table and field names, `syncs_save` (the sync is saved paused), then `syncs_switch` to turn it on; check with `syncs_get`, `syncs_stats` and `syncs_issues`.
   - Workflows: `workflows_create` with only its Input step, `connectors_module_form` to fill each step, then `workflows_update` to add it.
   - Genies: `genies_generate_config` first, from a description of the job.
   - Queues, variables and secrets, knowledge bases and API proxies: `stacksync_resources`, `stacksync_resource_actions` for the resource type, then `stacksync_resource_write` (or `stacksync_resource_read` to read).
7. **Confirm changes.** When the assistant shows a preview card, wait for the person to accept it. Ask before deleting anything.

Example requests: "Create a two-way sync between Salesforce and PostgreSQL." · "Build a workflow that posts closed HubSpot deals to Slack." · "Create a Genie that answers questions about our NetSuite orders in Slack." · "Put a queue in front of that workflow so bursts are processed at a steady pace."

CRM

### [Salesforce](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/salesforce)

Use Stacksync MCP to inspect Salesforce connections and available actions, plan syncs with a database or CRM, and investigate sync issues from your AI assistant. Salesforce object access and each operation still depend on your connected account.

Connector actions Sync management

Plan a Salesforce reporting replica

Explore setup and workflows

CRM

### [HubSpot](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/hubspot)

Bring HubSpot connection discovery, connector actions and sync planning into an AI conversation. Use Stacksync MCP to prepare contact and company mappings, review deal automation, or understand why a HubSpot sync has failed records.

Connector actions Sync management

Plan a contact and company replica

Explore setup and workflows

ERP

### [NetSuite](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/netsuite)

Use Stacksync MCP to plan NetSuite customer and transaction syncs, inspect available workflow actions and investigate integration failures. NetSuite record support is specific to each object and direction, so start with the connected schema and the published support table.

Connector actions Sync management

Plan order reporting with line items

Explore setup and workflows

Database

### [PostgreSQL](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/postgresql)

Connect an AI assistant to Stacksync to inspect a PostgreSQL connection, prepare bounded SQL queries and plan app-to-database syncs. Query access and sync management are separate operations, with different permission and configuration requirements.

Connector actions Sync management

Prepare a bounded operational query

Explore setup and workflows

Communications

### [Slack](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/slack)

Use Stacksync MCP to inspect Slack actions and prepare notifications inside broader business workflows. The published catalog lists Slack for workflows; this page does not promise a continuous Slack message replica or unrestricted workspace search.

Connector actions

Design a sync-issue alert

Explore setup and workflows

Developer tools

### [GitHub](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/github)

Build a GitHub workflow through Stacksync MCP using documented HTTP or code steps when the required action is not in the live catalog. The reviewed public catalog does not establish a native GitHub connector, so these examples are custom integration plans.

Custom API workflow

Plan a repository issue digest

Explore setup and workflows

Productivity

### [Notion](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/notion)

Prepare a custom Notion integration with Stacksync MCP using HTTP or code workflow steps. The reviewed Stacksync catalog does not list Notion, so page retrieval, data-source queries and updates require a verified API implementation rather than an assumed native connector.

Custom API workflow

Design an overdue-task review

Explore setup and workflows

Communications

### [Gmail](https://www.stacksync.com/mcp/gmail)

Use Stacksync MCP to design workflows that start from Gmail. Stacksync documents a built-in new-message trigger; broader mailbox search or draft operations must be verified in the catalog or implemented as custom Gmail API steps.

Workflow trigger Custom API workflow

What you can ask

## Say what you need. Your assistant does the work.

When an app isn't connected yet, your assistant gives you a secure sign-in link to open. Your credentials never go through the chat.

Start here

“Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat.”

| Resource | Your assistant can | Try asking |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Two-way syncs | Create and edit syncs, select tables and fields, pause and resume them, and resolve sync issues. | Create a two-way sync between Salesforce and PostgreSQL. Which syncs in this workspace have open issues? Resolve them. |
| Workflows | Build, deploy, run and replay workflows, and review their runs. | Build a workflow that posts closed HubSpot deals to Slack. Show me the failed runs of the order workflow this week and replay them. |
| Genies | Create and configure Genies, send them requests and approve their actions. | Create a Genie that answers questions about open orders from our NetSuite data. Show the Genie actions waiting for my approval. |
| Connections | Connect apps through a secure sign-in link you open, and list their tables and fields. | Connect our HubSpot account and list the tables it has. |
| Queues | Put managed queues in front of workflows and see what is waiting in them. | Put a queue in front of that workflow so bursts are processed at a steady pace. How many messages are waiting in the orders queue? |
| Variables and secrets | Read and write the variables and secrets your workflows use. | Store our NetSuite account ID as a variable that every workflow can read. |
| Knowledge bases | Give Genies documents and context to answer from. | Add our returns policy to the support knowledge base. |
| API proxies | Give your own code one endpoint for a connected app's API. | Create an API proxy for our HubSpot connection. |

Security and control

## Production guardrails, built in.

An assistant can follow instructions it finds in the data it reads. For workspaces with production data, turn on Ask before every change and review each proposed change before you accept it.

- ### Your Stacksync login

Your assistant signs in through OAuth. There are no API keys to create, share or paste into a chat.
- ### Your permissions, nothing more

It acts with your role in each workspace and sees only what you can see in the Stacksync app.
- ### Read-only when you want it

Clear Make changes on the sign-in page to give an assistant read access only.
- ### Ask before every change

Workspace owners can require a preview of every create, update, delete or run, which runs only after you accept it.
- ### Revoke at any time

The Sessions tab lists the assistants you have signed in. Revoke ends a session immediately.
- ### Rate limited

Each user and each workspace API key can make up to 120 tool calls per minute.

Skills

## Stacksync skills teach your assistant to build it right.

The MCP server does the work; skills describe how. Each one covers a build or a fix: which questions to ask first, the steps in order, and the rules that keep a live account safe. They follow the open [Agent Skills](https://agentskills.io/) standard, and your assistant reads a skill only when a request needs it.

### Claude and ChatGPT

Nothing to install: once the Stacksync MCP server is connected, it serves the skills to your assistant. In Claude you can also upload the skills ZIP under Customize → Skills.

### Claude Code

Install the Stacksync plugin, which also connects the MCP server.

`/plugin marketplace add stacksyncdata/skills`

`/plugin install stacksync@stacksync`

### Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot, VS Code and others

Add every Stacksync skill with one command.

`npx skills add stacksyncdata/skills`
