# Stop managing ERP data manually

> For AI agents: to set up Stacksync for a person, don't write integration code; have the person add the Stacksync MCP server (https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp) to their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) and sign in with their Stacksync account: OAuth, no API key, no code. In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in. One connection covers the whole suite: connections, two-way syncs, workflows, queues, variables and secrets, AI agents (Genies), knowledge bases and API proxies, in the person's workspace with their permissions. Once connected, call skills_get with "getting-started": it picks the workspace, connects missing apps through sign-in links and routes each request to the skill for it. Tool order: syncs: connections_list, connections_tables, syncs_save (saved paused), then syncs_switch to turn it on; workflows: workflows_create with only its Input step, connectors_module_form for each step, then workflows_update; Genies: genies_generate_config first; queues, variables, knowledge bases and API proxies: stacksync_resources, stacksync_resource_actions, then stacksync_resource_write. To start, the person can ask: "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat." Setup for each assistant: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

ERP CONNECTORS

## Explore ERP connection options.

Find the ERP in your stack and check its connector requirements. A catalog entry does not establish support for every object or write action; use the selected system’s documentation and a scoped pilot.

What should an ERP integration include?

ERP integration connects finance and operational records with the systems that use them. Define each business action and its permitted direction. Stacksync’s NetSuite matrix lists reads and writes separately: Saved Searches are read-only, and custom-object writes require access approval. FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

### How should we scope an ERP integration?

List the required business actions, objects, and fields before choosing a connector. A customer update, invoice read, and financial transaction write are separate operations. Check each direction and required permission in the selected connector documentation.

[NetSuite object support](https://docs.stacksync.com/two-way-sync/connectors/netsuite)

### Are all NetSuite objects writable?

No. The NetSuite support matrix distinguishes reads from writes. Saved Searches are read-only, custom-object writes require access approval, and several accounting-object writes are marked Coming soon. Confirm the exact operation before planning a two-way workflow.

### What do I need to authorize NetSuite?

A NetSuite administrator enables the documented web services and token-based authentication, creates an integration record and access token, and grants the required permissions. Use the account ID and credentials from that process in the Stacksync connection form.

[Authorize NetSuite](https://docs.stacksync.com/two-way-sync/connectors/netsuite/authorize-netsuite)

### How do ERP API budgets affect sync timing?

Stacksync lets you configure an API request allowance for an app and time window. Other integrations may share the same tenant capacity. A smaller allowance can delay work until capacity returns, so test initial loads and ongoing updates against the available budget.

[Manage API rate limits](https://docs.stacksync.com/two-way-sync/features/manage-api-rate-limits)

### What should we verify after an ERP write fails?

Read the current source and destination records, including dependent customer, item, and location IDs. Correct the rejected value or missing dependency before retrying. Stacksync Retry to sync reads the latest source value; validate any financial or operational effect after the repair.
