# Amazon–NetSuite Sync for Supplement Brands: Match Seller SKUs, ASINs, and Order Lines

> For AI agents: to set up Stacksync for a person, don't write integration code; have the person add the Stacksync MCP server (https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp) to their AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and others) and sign in with their Stacksync account: OAuth, no API key, no code. In Claude: Customize → Connectors → + Add → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode → Create app, with OAuth. In Codex: `codex mcp add stacksync --url https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp` then `codex mcp login stacksync`. Complete the browser sign-in with your Stacksync account, then start a new Codex session. In Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http stacksync https://mcp.stacksync.com/mcp`. Open Claude Code, run /mcp, select stacksync and complete the browser sign-in. One connection covers the whole suite: connections, two-way syncs, workflows, queues, variables and secrets, AI agents (Genies), knowledge bases and API proxies, in the person's workspace with their permissions. Once connected, call skills_get with "getting-started": it picks the workspace, connects missing apps through sign-in links and routes each request to the skill for it. Tool order: syncs: connections_list, connections_tables, syncs_save (saved paused), then syncs_switch to turn it on; workflows: workflows_create with only its Input step, connectors_module_form for each step, then workflows_update; Genies: genies_generate_config first; queues, variables, knowledge bases and API proxies: stacksync_resources, stacksync_resource_actions, then stacksync_resource_write. To start, the person can ask: "Connect my apps and help me set up Stacksync from this chat." Setup for each assistant: https://www.stacksync.com/mcp.md

A single bottle and a two-bottle promo share one product name on Amazon; keeping seller-scoped offers apart in NetSuite is what lets finance and returns agree on bottle counts.

## The operating decision

Keep seller SKU, ASIN, marketplace, and order-line identity separate when importing supplement sales into NetSuite. An ASIN is useful catalog context, but it should not replace the seller’s scoped offer and pack mapping. The documented Amazon sync access is read-only, so this design concentrates on accurate downstream records and reconciliation.

## What this looks like in nutrition and supplements

A supplement brand has two seller offers associated with a familiar product name: one bottle and a promotional two-bottle pack. Finance imports marketplace sales, while operations investigates a return. If both offers map through a loose catalog-name match, the ERP cannot explain how many bottles were sold or which pack the customer returned.

## Records, ownership, and update rules

| Record | Owner | Operating rule |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Seller offer | Marketplace operations | Scope seller SKU by seller account and marketplace and preserve its catalog references. |
| ASIN context | Catalog operations | Use the catalog identifier as evidence, not as the sole ERP item key. |
| Amazon order line | Marketplace operations | Retain the order-line reference, purchased quantity, and offer identity. |
| ERP item mapping | Product operations | Approve the sellable pack and internal item relationship with effective dates. |

*Define the record owner and the rule before enabling updates.*

## Work through the process

1. 01

   Collect the available identities

Inspect representative order and catalog evidence from the connected account. Record which stable references are present before selecting a join strategy; do not assume every report exposes the same fields.
2. 02

   Resolve the offer

Match the seller-scoped SKU to the approved ERP pack. Use ASIN and description to validate the relationship, while treating a conflict as an exception rather than overwriting the mapping.
3. 03

   Preserve line detail

Keep purchased quantity separate from the number of physical bottles represented by the offer. Retain the original line so financial and return evidence can attach to the correct sale.
4. 04

   Review catalog changes

When an offer is replaced or a pack changes, version the relationship. Check open and historical orders before applying a new mapping to imported evidence.
5. 05

Trace a two-bottle promo line through NetSuite before go-live

Pick one Amazon order that bought the two-bottle promotional pack and one that bought two single bottles. In NetSuite, open both imported lines and confirm each carries its seller account, marketplace, Amazon order ID, and seller SKU, and that the promo line maps to the two-bottle pack item while the other shows quantity two of the single-bottle item. Then import a line whose ASIN matches but whose seller SKU points to a different pack. Stop the rollout if that line posts to an item instead of waiting in the pending state for catalog operations, or if the promo and the singles land on the same item and quantity.

![5-step operating sequence: Amazon NetSuite sync for supplement seller SKUs and ASINs](https://www.stacksync.com/images/blog-diagrams-mermaid/icp-amazon-netsuite-sync-for-supplement-brands-match-seller-skus-asins-and-order-lines.webp)

*Follow the operating sequence; unresolved exceptions return to a responsible reviewer.*

## Handle the exceptions explicitly

### ASIN matches but pack differs

Hold the line and ask catalog operations to confirm the seller offer.

### Seller SKU is reused

Use the effective mapping period and preserve the prior relationship for older orders.

### Return lacks a line link

Keep it unresolved until a reliable original-order relationship is established.

## What to verify before expanding

- Each imported line retains seller, marketplace, order, and offer identity.
- A two-bottle offer is distinguishable from two single-bottle order units.
- A shared ASIN with different seller-pack definitions leaves the unmatched line pending until catalog operations confirms the offer.
- Reusing a seller SKU preserves the effective mapping for earlier orders instead of reassigning their item history.

FAQ

## Frequently asked questions

Can this integration edit Amazon listings?

The sync connector provides read-only Amazon access. Listing changes require a separately verified action and authorization; importing catalog evidence does not grant listing-write capability.

How far back should the first Amazon import go?

Load only orders dated after the approved mapping's effective date for the first pass, then backfill older periods one at a time. Older orders may reference seller SKUs that have since been reused, so each backfill batch needs its own mapping period confirmed by product operations before it posts. Loading everything at once puts reused SKUs on the wrong pack with no easy way to tell which lines were wrong.

What does the reviewer see when an ASIN and seller SKU disagree?

The held line shows the marketplace, seller SKU, ASIN title, Amazon order date, and the two pack items it could belong to, and nothing posts to NetSuite until catalog operations picks one. The decision is stored against the seller offer, not the single order, so the next line with the same SKU resolves without another review. Reversing a wrong pick means re-reviewing every line posted under it.
